This year the Sydney Science Festival during National Science Week is going to be HUGE! The Children’s Discovery Museum has collaborated with the Australian Museum to provide a range of events, one of which is the Edison Robots workshop. It aims to keep students up to speed with the rapid advancements in the robotics field by using per-programmed barcoding systems with “functionalities such as line tracking and remote-control driving”. Furthermore students and you have the opportunity to learn about programming Edison, using a drag and drop graphical software.
Volunteers will be expected to arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the start of the workshop, and assist in museum staff throughout the day.
If you are interested in the world of robotics or just keen on learning something new this event is for you!
