Young Scientists of Australia is a group of young people aged 14-26 who share a common interest in science, and how it relates to the wider world. Our motto is "Promoting Science to the Youth of Australia", which we achieve through a number of activities, including:
-
Staffing at science schools such as The Siemens Science Experience
-
Providing science and leadership training to all our members
-
Providing mentoring and advice to younger members
-
Organising regular social events in a drug, smoke and alcohol-free environment
-
Publishing a quarterly newsletter, full of activity reports, the latest news in science and range of funny science -quotes and jokes.
YSA works in partnership with a number of institutions, including universities, the Science Foundation for Physics and the Australia and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science (ANZAAS). |
