Why Should I Join?

Because you get to meet a fantastic bunch of people, can help staff the Siemens Science Experience each year,receive a copy of Plasma whenever it's released, delivered direct to your door thanks to the questionably prompt services of Australia Post, access to the secret Members Only sections of our website, and generally it's a very good idea.

How Much Does Membership Cost?

$15 (Australian Dollars, of course) will last you a full year. This works out as costing you a mere 4.1 cents a day (or 4.76 × 10⁻⁷ cents per second) - and you get Plasma, the opportunity to attend our awesome socials, and a nice warm feeling somewhere in the vicinity of your navel. You can't say that's not value.

How Do I Go About Joining?

It's quite simple. Enclose a cheque or money order to the value of $15 payable to YSA Melbourne together with a completely filled out YSA Melbourne Membership Form (PDF format, 76 KB), in a stamped envelope; and direct said envelope to the following address: Young Scientists of Australia, Melbourne Chapter PO Box 4456 Melbourne University 3052 If you have any queries about joining, don't hesitate to contact our Secretary, or if said questions are to do with the nasty confusing Website section on the form, our Webmaster will certainly be able to lend a hand.

I've joined but am not receiving social e-mails.

Unfortunately we don't always manage to get all of our members properly onto the announce mailing list. The list is posted to about once a month usually about the social, so don't expect to get a flood of e-mails. If you think that you've been missed or your e-mail address has been misread then please send an e-mail to secretary@melbourne.ysa.org.au and let us know that you are not receiving any. Please remember that we only put those that are members on the e-mail list, so be sure that you have joined YSA Melbourne Chapter first.
