Over the course of five days and nights in July, participants will engage in excursions, workshops, debates and lectures, gaining exposure to the industry, a broad perspective of the issues facing modern bioscience, and hands-on experience with cutting-edge biomedical technology. Hosted jointly by The University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology, Biofutures 2001 will bring together eighty participants from all over Queensland and Singapore for the opportunity to experience university life, meet professionals in the field, and make new friends. The lecture will look at the causes of colour and the chemistry behind it, including nature's use of colour and how we have used it in art and science.
